Life At The Top by John Dewhirst is the fourth volume in the Bantamspast History Revisited series and tells how the two Bradford rivals converted first from the Rugby Union and then the Northern Union (rugby league) abandoning rugby to establish soccer clubs such that by 1908 Bradford had two Football League clubs.
This is a book that will appeal equally to rugby and soccer followers and provides a definitive history of the origins of both Bradford City and Park Avenue. The degree of detail is without precedent in relation to any other books published about Bradford City.
All four volumes in the series can be purchased from the Bantams Banter shop.
Between them the four volumes record the history of Bradford City from its genesis to the modern day. A possible fifth volume in the series is in the planning stages and may be confirmed in 2017.Further information from johndewhirst.wordpress.com
